We have tested and reviewed Fitbit Inspire 2 and are excited to share helpful tips on how you can benefit from its amazing features. Since its launch in September 2020, this Amazon best-seller has been one of Fitbit’s most popular fitness watches. It is affordable, stylish, and easy to use which makes it suitable for everyone.

Do you have Inspire 2 but don’t know how to get started? We will show you how to use this fitness watch to help get familiar with it and reach your goals:

Before you start using your Fitbit Inspire 2, make sure you set it up correctly. Download the Fitbit app on your smartphone and follow the instructions to pair your device with your phone. Once you have paired your device, customize the settings according to your preferences.
  • Wear it correctly

Wearing your Fitbit Inspire 2 correctly is essential for accurate tracking. Make sure you wear it snugly on your wrist, just like you would wear a regular watch. It should be worn 2 to 3 fingers above the wrist bone and fit comfortably but not too tight.
  • Keep it charged

Inspire 2 battery life is 10 days which means you don’t have to charge it very often. However, make sure that it has a good charge to enjoy its features especially if you use the connected GPS.

I like to charge it every three or four days to ensure it always has good battery life.

  • Choose the data you want to see

I like to see my fitness and health metrics but I still wanted to remove some stat tiles that I don’t need. To easily remove a stat tile go to the Fitbit app, Dashboard, and “Today”. Tap on Edit on the top right side of the screen. Tap the “X” and “Done”.

To add a metric that was previously removed, tap on “Add” and “Done”.

  • Discover Fitbit Premium during the free trial period.

If you decide not to renew the subscription you may want to use the features as much as you can before it expires. For example, exploring “Advanced sleep analytics” has given me an idea of how to improve my lifestyle, especially when practicing my breathing and getting time to chill.

Now I know how to improve my sleeping quality. Therefore, I may not need to pay the subscription after all. However, you may want to keep exploring Premium and its amazing benefits.

  • Use all the Inspire 2 features to motivate yourself

Learn how to take care of your physical and mental health by using the functionalities. In my experience, I have been focusing on my breathing and staying more active than ever when I first explored the Active Minutes and Mindfulness sessions. Also, the games and challenges are so much fun and motivating that you will want to move more.

  • Share your data with your doctor

The wellness report is a great source of information about your progress, fitness level, and mental health that you can show to your health professional. He can find any unusual health trends and help him diagnose any health conditions. Also, he can use this data to customize a plan to help you keep improving.

  • Make sure the Fitbit app is synced daily

On your Dashboard, swipe the screen down and release to refresh.

Also, frequently check if the Fitbit is up to date. One of our helpful articles shows you how to update your fitness tracker firmware.

  • Use the community tab

Share, chat and celebrate your goals. Also, join groups depending on the activities and topics you like. You can inspire others to stay on the fitness journey.

  • Don’t obsess over numbers

Fitbit will show how good or bad you did. This is ok! Just take it as a learning experience. We all want to change or improve our health habits. I did not like to see a “Fair sleep” score or just a couple of “Zone minutes” However, they helped create more accountability and responsibility.

  • Receive notifications right on your wrist

You can stay up to date while you are exercising or enjoying your favorite activities. To enable them, make sure to turn off the Do Not Disturb (DND) in your Inspire 2. Swipe down and tap on Settings. Select Do not Disturb and make sure is off. To receive workout alerts follow the same instructions and tap on Exercise notifications.

Then from the Fitbit app tap on your profile picture and swipe down until you find “Notifications”. Activate “Messages” or the one you wish to receive.

To make sure you receive the push messages go to your phone settings and tap on Apps & Notifications. Choose the Fitbit app and turn the notifications on. You can choose Incoming calls, messages, etc to receive the alerts on your wrists. Once you have chosen Notifications, go to Permissions (under Notifications) and turn on the phone. location, and contacts.

I tested this functionality and it works fine. I receive phone call alerts as “unknown” but it is fine. To correct this issue you can uninstall the Fitbit app and reinstall it. It still shows “Uknown caller” but it is enough to know when someone is calling.

  • Use the Fitbit app
