How did Smart Around Your Wrist start?

It wasn't until Fitbit launched Flex, their first wrist-worn activity tracker in 2013 that I became interested in fitness watch technology. The same year in September, Samsung's first smartwatch, Galaxy Gear, was released. Then, Apple's first watch came out in 2015 and many others followed.

I worked out most of my life but was unable to deal with procrastinating and skipping exercises. Due to the lack of fitness devices, I used a pedometer with a calorie counter which was a bit helpful. However, it did not provide me with the necessary data to see any progress and avoid some minor injuries due to over-exercising. Then I decided that it was time to get a fitness watch.

I had no clue so I started researching many fitness trackers or smartwatches. Soon, I realized that they can be expensive depending on their features. Also, they were designed for a specific lifestyle, need, budget, goal, or physical activity. Therefore, it took me a while to find the right fitness watch.

After a while of being immersed in the exciting world of fitness watches, I gained an abundance of knowledge to share with others and keep evolving.
